Chelsea's Highway 39 To Be Resurfaced
Citizens of Chelsea is getting a new ride on Highway 39. Gone will be the pot holes, bumps, asphalt separations and especially the uneven pavement near Daysprings Drive.
According to Scott Holladay of the Shelby County Highway Department, the paving should begin soon. The contractor has already begun to move supplies in. I'm sure most of you have seen the large piles of gravel next to Goosepond Fabrication Shop in downtown Chelsea. This gravel will be mixed with asphalt to make the new suface material.
So when that time comes please drive carefully on Highway 39 for the duration. Workers and equipment will be working to make your ride a lot smoother. As always in a construction work zone, traffic could get congested so be careful and leave early as needed!
