PUBLIC INPUT MEETING #1

WHEN: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2005, 7:00 PM

WHERE: CHELSEA HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM

The Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham (RPCGB), and 4SITE, Inc will assist The City of Chelsea in developing a Comprehensive Development Plan that outlines a plan based concept to manage and guide new growth. This management and guidance will provide directions that are cost effective, take advantage of the strong market opportunity for new growth and the associated fiscal advantage of an increased retail sales tax base. The PLAN is intended to encourage development in such a manner to further the image of Chelsea, to create and even stronger sense of place, and to promote the conservation and enhancement of important and sensitive environmental areas.

We need YOUR input. Come and participate as we conduct and facilitate a meeting with...

community leaders,
key boards,
commissions,
agencies
and city council,
as well as the affected general public
and property owners.

The results of this meeting will be documented, summarizing issues identified and the relative degree of importance assigned to each issue by the public. These issues will provide an important foundation for the planning that follows.

Come and share your views in updating a growth development plan for The City of Chelsea.
