Chelsea Fire and Explorer Post 30 Receives Contribution
The Explorer Program has been around for quite some time through the Boy Scouts of America. It offers an opportunity for young adults ages 14-18 to pursue their interest through hands-on learning in an occupation of their choice. Chelsea Explorer Post 30 was created in 2001 for the exploration of fire service and emergency medical career paths. This program plays an active role in daily operations of the Chelsea Fire Department. Although there are certain limitations, you are considered an effective member of the team. You are allowed to ride with the firefighters on calls, wear a fire department uniform, assist with medical emergencies, and stay overnight on weekends. They strive to create a learning atmosph! |
