| Doggy Problems Need Help? Best wishes to the proud new owners of holiday puppies. With so much hope and potential as they are welcomed into the family it s difficult to think that some will mature into 50, 60 even 100 pound food guzzling torrents of energy. Digging, chewing, jumping and running their way through the neighborhood without the slightest care of the behavior you want from them. Dogs are not born with good manners according to C.W. Meisterfeld one of the pioneers of canine psychoanalysis. They need to be educated, and their behavioral and physical boundaries defined. Some of the holiday puppies won't get a proper education and will develop behavioral problems. Some will go to the humane shelter because the owner didn t receive the correct information about what a dog needs. Fortunately for those dog owners there is a solution available. A new strategy, to deal with dog behavior problems, is based on a support group atmosphere. In the group the owner can share experiences and learn with the group what skills they need to properly set the physical and behavioral boundaries.
